Doneer Effectief: Animal Welfare & Food Transition

Donate Effectively ("Doneer Effectief") focuses on improving animal welfare and reforming our food system – two major challenges that still receive too little attention. Animals, like humans, experience pain and suffering. Every year, 80 billion land animals and billions of farmed fish are slaughtered, often under appalling conditions in factory farming. By focusing on effective interventions, such as improving animal welfare and promoting plant-based alternatives and cultured meat, we can achieve a great deal. Our recommendations are based on research by Animal Charity Evaluators, an independent institute that evaluates which charities have the most impact per euro donated. Some organisations are found to be up to a hundred or even a thousand times more effective than others. This ensures that your donation makes the biggest difference for animals worldwide.
