How it works

You can spend the full amount on one charity or divide it among several charities. To donate your Van Betekenis credits, follow these steps:

1. Look up your personal 19-digit card number.
2. Find the 6-digit PIN code on the giftcard.
3. Go to the page with all charities.
4. Choose a charity you would like to donate to and click “donate”. If you want to donate to multiple charities, repeat steps 4-8.
5. Choose the amount you want to donate (minimum of 5 euros per charity) and click ‘Continue’.
6. Fill in your name and email address. Then, click on ‘Donate now’. You will now enter the payment portal. If you want to donate anonymously, you can enter “Van Betekenis” as your name and as your email address.
7. Choose ‘Give For Good gift card’ as payment method. Give For Good is Saxion’s partner for Van Betekenis.
8. Enter the 19-digit card number and your personal PIN and click ‘Cadeaukaart verzilveren’.
9. Done! You have made a donation using your gift card. You will receive a confirmation email of your donation from Give For Good within five minutes.

You can spend the full amount on your Van Betekenis on one charity or divide it over multiple charities by repeating steps 4-8 for different charities.
